“Singles” album introduces NEW pieces plus the archive for ALL single and unreleased tracks recorded in Syria between 2007 & 2013 before the war.
Starting the album with “Integration (Wilkommen!)”. This track mimicks the whole discussion about integration in Germany for Syrian newcomers. The piece is a dialogue between the flute (free and wild) and the orchestra (firm and in order), trying to agree on something, the almost 5 minutes long track should be something fun to listen to!
“Singles” is meant to be different. It has no prevailing style, rather different tastes, ideas and multiple genres like jazz, pop, waltz and even some rock (a shy one) with typical oriental touches you expect from my music. The hardest part was to orginize the old tracks “soundwise” together, since they were recorded by different people in different places. That was my task the last four months till i reached with the help of many kind friends a very good quality for you!
